Tadej Pogacar has claimed victory in the fifth and final stage of the 2026 Tour de Romandía, a route from Lucens to Leysin, securing the overall win in the Swiss race. The Slovenian rider from UAE Team Emirates launched a devastating attack on the challenging climb to Leysin, similar to his move in the previous stage, with only Florian Lipowitz able to respond. The German crossed the line three seconds behind, closely followed by his teammate Primoz Roglic (+0:07).
Pogacar’s stage win, his fourth in this edition of the Tour de Romandía, allowed him to conquer one of the few World Tour stage races not yet in his impressive palmarès. Florian Lipowitz (+0:44) and Lenny Martínez (+2:44) completed the podium of the Swiss round.

Among Spanish riders, Carlos Rodríguez finished as the best placed in the general classification. Despite a crash in stage 4, the INEOS Grenadiers rider managed to complete the final day and ended his Swiss campaign in a respectable 12th position.
