Saturday proved to be a successful day for Spanish tennis players competing at the Rome Masters.
Pablo Llamas Ruiz, the first to take the court, defeated Corentin Moutet in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-7). Later, Martin Landaluce pulled off one of the day’s surprises by overcoming Croatian Marin Cilic (4-6, 4-6).
Alejandro Davidovich, meanwhile, beat Cristian Garín in two sets (6-7, 4-6).
The only negative result for the Spaniards came from Roberto Bautista, who lost to Brandon Nakashima (6-4, 6-0).
