FC Barcelona have been crowned champions of LaLiga EA Sports for the 29th time in their history. This time, the Catalan side secured the title in a historic Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou, defeating Real Madrid 2-0 on Sunday. A draw would have been enough for Hansi Flick’s team to clinch the league, but they chose to seal it with a victory over their eternal rivals, leaving Madrid empty-handed for another season.

This was a unique opportunity for Barça, as they had never won the league by beating Real Madrid at home before. Under Hansi Flick, the team delivered when it mattered most, capping a remarkable season that will finish with a second consecutive league title under the German coach.
The trophy will be presented to the champions on the same day. After the final whistle, Barça will receive the LaLiga trophy from Rafael Louzán at the Spotify Camp Nou. While the protocol varies depending on the year, this time the club is permitted to hand the trophy to their fans immediately after being crowned champions.
There are two criteria for deciding when the LaLiga trophy is awarded. If a team wins the title away from home, the trophy is given at their next home match. If they clinch it at their own stadium, the presentation can either be held on the same day or postponed to the next home game. The last time a team celebrated the title at home on the same day was in 2022, when Real Madrid beat Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabéu. This time, Madrid will witness Barça receive the trophy in their own backyard after a dominant win.
