The Shanxi Men’s Basketball Team was fined 50,000 yuan after home fans repeatedly chanted “biased referee” during a playoff game. The Zhejiang Men’s Basketball Team was fined 110,000 yuan for similar fan misconduct, including throwing objects onto the court, and the team’s investor, Jin Zijun, was suspended for one game and fined 50,000 yuan for interfering with the scorer’s table.

On May 10, Shanxi lost 81-86 at home to the Guangsha Men’s Basketball Team, tying the series at 1-1 and forcing a decisive third game.
According to the official statement: During the 2025-2026 CBA playoffs quarterfinal game between Shanxi and Guangsha, spectators repeatedly chanted “biased referee” and insulted the officials. This violated the CBA Disciplinary Regulations and harmed the league’s image.

To maintain discipline, the CBA fined the Taiyuan venue (canceling its eligibility for the Best Venue award this season) and deducted 50,000 yuan from Shanxi’s league funds. The club was also issued three demerit points under the CBA Youth-Friendly Venue Scoring System. Both the venue and the club were ordered to better manage fan behavior.
On May 10, Zhejiang lost 91-95 at home to the Shenzhen Men’s Basketball Team, trailing 0-2 in the series and being eliminated from the quarterfinals.
In the game between Zhejiang and Shenzhen, fans chanted “biased referee” and threw lighters and other objects onto the court. Additionally, during the first and second quarter breaks and with 6:41 left in the second quarter, Zhejiang investor Jin Zijun entered the scorer’s table area and disrupted operations. The CBA fined the Yiwu venue (losing eligibility for Best Venue and Best Security awards this season) and deducted 110,000 yuan from Zhejiang’s league funds, plus six demerit points. Both the venue and club were ordered to improve spectator guidance and management.
Furthermore, under Article 49 of the Disciplinary Regulations, Jin Zijun was suspended for one game and fined 50,000 yuan. Since Zhejiang’s season has ended, the suspension will carry over to the start of the next regular season. The fine must be paid according to standard procedures.
