Marseille has officially begun the search for a new head coach, with former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier and ex-Monaco boss Adi Hütter both emerging as candidates. According to *L’Équipe*, the club has already started the recruitment process, despite interim coach Abib Beye still being in charge for the remainder of the season.
Beye took over from Roberto De Zerbi in February but has failed to meet the club’s expectations. He was tasked with guiding Marseille to the Champions League and reaching the French Cup final—neither of which he accomplished. Changes are also looming at the sporting director level, as Grégory Lorenzi is set to replace the departing Mehdi Benatia. *L’Équipe* reports that Lorenzi is keen to appoint a French manager.
Bruno Génésio, who will leave Lille this summer, is also on the shortlist, along with Galtier. The Marseille-born former PSG boss currently coaches NEOM SC in the Saudi league and has never hidden his desire to manage his hometown club. Hütter, who left Monaco last autumn, rounds out the list of potential candidates.
