According to a report by The Sun, former West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has voiced strong criticism over the decision to overturn the Hammers’ late equalizer against Arsenal via VAR.
Speaking on the podcast “No Tippy Tappy Football,” Allardyce stated: “Considering everything that’s happened in the Premier League over the past few seasons, I don’t think Sunday’s decision was correct. Arsenal has profited countless times from set-piece goals this season without having any fouls called against them.”
He added: “Then BBC’s Match of the Day brought in former referee Daren Cann—but, of course, referees never admit they got it wrong, do they? It’s just too biased.”
